The Quadrant – The Larsen Suite
Superbly finished, the apartment has been furnished to an exceptionally high standard in a mid- century style. Its furniture is inspired by Danish furniture maker Ib Kofod-Larsen, whilst the artwork and soft furnishings give a real feel of boutique hotel luxury.
The artwork throughout the apartment are coloured linocut prints of some of the famous buildings of York by local artist Giuliana Lazzerini.
This spacious apartment has a fabulously designed open plan living, kitchen and dining room with a sumptuous velvet sofa and leather chairs, 43″ Samsung Smart TV (with Netflix etc. Apps) and Sonos speaker for music streaming.
The kitchen/dining area boasts a large quartz topped island lit by feature oak skipper ceiling lights and seats 4 guests comfortably with padded bar stools.
The high-spec kitchen has every utensil you would need, as well as Siemens appliances (oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, induction hob, washer dryer), Lavazza coffee machine, Bosch toaster and Bosch kettle.
An inset balcony, accessed from the main reception room, gives amazing southerly views of York Minster and, being sheltered from the elements, offers all year enjoyment and a beautiful space to relax in after a day of sightseeing.
There are two double bedrooms. The first has iconic New York loft windows, double bed, wooden hanging space and a velvet armchair.
The second/master bedroom has a king size bed that can be split into two single beds on request. It boasts views of the Minster and a door gives access to the balcony.
There is a fully tiled family shower room with large rainfall shower, basin and toilet, feature alcoves, downlights and night lighting.
This first floor apartment is accessed by lift or stairs and features full fibre Broadband and underfloor heating throughout.
You won’t be disappointed by the location of this apartment which is in the centre of York, just off Bootham. It is one of the finest approaches to the city and just a 200 metre walk to Bootham Bar and Exhibition Square and a short stroll from the city centre. The River Ouse is also nearby, perfect for a leisurely riverside walk or boat trip.
Being in the centre of York there is no need for a car, and we are a 10 minute walk from York Train Station. However, if you are travelling to us by car, we are able to offer a free digital parking permit in either the Bootham Row or the Union Terrace car park. Free on-street parking can also be found within a 10 minute walk in the Bootham area.

We had a fabulous stay. The apartment is absolutely lovely with a fantastic view of the Minster. The decor was a particular stand out – clearly done by somebody with a good eye. The kitchen was very well kitted out. The location is great – 5 minutes walk to the Minster, multiple shops and restaurants nearby and a Sainsburys on the corner. Parking was no problem. There is only one bathroom, so perhaps not the right place if one of your party is a bathroom hog! We would definitely stay there again.

The Larsen Suite was the perfect apartment for our stay. The location was ideal being right outside the city walls. It was an easy walk in and you could leave all the hustle and bustle behind when you returned to the quiet apartment. Beautifully maintained space with all the needed amenities including comfortable beds. We can’t wait to return!
