Coming by car:
The house is in the centre of York (which is largely pedestrianised with limited car access). Where possible we suggest you park first and walk to the house.
However, if you have heavy bags there is a possibility to be dropped off at Duncombe place before parking. There are loading spaces along this road (please see road signs for clarification) where you can pull up for 30 minutes to drop bags before parking at a local car park. This road is a dead-end, so once dropped off you can do a ‘U-turn in front of the Minster to exit.

All of the following options costs £13.00 for periods over 5 hours. This covers from the time of your arrival (the start of your ‘chargeable period’) until midnight. After midnight parking is free until 8.00 am the following day.
- Marygate car park is an 8-minute walk away. The address is Frederic Street, York, YO30 7DT.
- Union Terrace car park and coach park is an 8-minute walk away. The address is Union Terrace, Clarence Street, York. YO31 7ES.
- Monk Bar car park is an 11-minute walk away. The address is St John’s Street, York, YO31 7QR.

From the train station in a taxi:
Come out of the York Station’s main entrance and you will see the taxi rank.
Ask the taxi to drop you at 11 Blake Street or Duncombe place (unless there is very bad traffic it should take less than 5 minutes). It’s the silver door on the left-hand side of the road opposite McDonalds.
Enter 11 Blake Street, and the house is on the ground floor the first door on the right.

From the train station walking:
Come out of the York Station’s main entrance.
Turn left and follow the York walls around until you reach the bridge (you will cross one road).
Walk across the bridge and then carry on walking for 2 minutes until you get to a cross junction with Visit York on the corner.
Turn right at the traffic lights and head down Blake Street.
11 Blake Street is a silver door on the left-hand side of the road opposite McDonald’s.
Enter 11 Blake Street, and turn immediately right to find the front door.
