Address: 11 Queen Street, York, England YO24 1AD, United Kingdom

Coming by car:
If you are arriving by car, we have secured parking space in the NCP car park on Queen street (the bottom of the road)
For more information about the car park, click here >>https://www.ncp.co.uk/find-a-car-park/car-parks/york-queen-street/
You will need to collect the parking ticket/ QR code from the house.
There are currently road works outside the house, so i would recommend pulling up just next door to the house (which is the entrance to the Premier Inn) while you pop in to get the parking ticket/ QR code.
This is usually located on the bar in the kitchen.
When you arrive at the entrance of the car park, you will see a ticket machine.
Scan the QR code at the bottom of the machine.
You will need it to exit the car park.
Please note if the barrier is up when you are leaving, you still need to scan the QR code card so it knows you have left the car park.
If it doesn’t accept the QR code, it may be that, for whatever reason, the last guest did not end the ‘loop’ and didn’t scan the QR code when leaving. In this case, press to request a paper ticket to allow the barrier to lift and then insert the card when you exit, so you don’t need to pay, and the ‘loop’ is complete.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO RETURN THE QE code card BEFORE LEAVING.
Many Thanks

Getting around
There’s a couple of ways to get into the heart of the city… First route- come out of Queen Street, turn right and walk up to the traffic lights, cross over to the left and you will see Micklegate Bar.
(Micklegate Bar was the most important of York’s four main medieval gateways and the focus for grand events. The name comes from ‘Micklelith’, meaning great street.)
Walk down the hill and over the bridge (over the river Ouse- the 6th longest river in the U.K.) and you are in the city centre.
Alternatively, there are steps leading up the Micklegate Bar and on to the historic city walls (a circular walk around the perimeter of the old city, these walls date back to the Roman times)
Or if you turn left out of Queen Street and past the train station, follow the road around and you will come to another bridge over the river where you will see the famous York Minster in front of you. This route will take you past museum gardens where you can drop down on the river the perfect start for a river walk.

The train station also has its own long stay car park which is very reasonable at weekends.
