The Rattle Owl is an independent, casual-dining restaurant housed in a restored Grade II* listed building. Led by Head Chef Tom Heywood, our seasonal menu draws from Yorkshire’s abundance of produce. Our wine list has been developed to complement our dishes.
We are based on one of York’s most historic streets. It took two years for our owner clarrie o’callaghan to renovate our 17th-century building and to bring an empty site back to life. The work has earned a York design award and our food and drink are firmly established in The Good Food Guide.
