The Quadrant – The Garret
As you enter the duplex apartment, you will be surprised by the space and light it provides. It has been designed with Mid-Century style furniture and includes Slim Aarons and Bo Lundberg prints.
Follow the staircase up to the first floor to showcase the spacious, apex roofed, fabulously designed living, kitchen and dining room. With feature industrial loft style wall, sumptuous green sofa and accent chairs, a 43″ Samsung QLED Smart TV (with Apps including Netflix, Prime Video etc for guests to use their own accounts) and Denon Bluetooth soundbar with sub-woofer for streaming music/radio.
The dining area has a 6-seater velvet copper dining set with a Sony Bluetooth turntable and a selection of vinyl LPs.
The high-spec kitchen has every utensil you would need as well as Siemens appliances (oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, induction hob), Magimix (Nespresso) coffee machine, four slice Dualit toaster and a Dualit kettle!
The room leads out onto the first balcony with stunning rooftop and York Minster views – a beautiful space to sit and relax after a day of sightseeing.
Positioned in the loft of the building, the name of the apartment was inspired by the French word ‘guerite’, which means watchtower and a living space in the top of a building often occupied by artists.
Downstairs, follow the corridor around you will find three large bedrooms…
The first bedroom, located at the front of the building and apartment, has iconic New York loft windows. In tribute to this, each bedroom offers an industrial-style hanging space, softened by luxury velvet armchairs. It has a king-size bed with Simba Hybrid Pro mattress.
The second/master bedroom has a king-size bed with Simba Hybrid Pro mattress. Sliding doors along the entire length of the room give access to the balcony, which has outdoor furniture for you to relax and enjoy the southerly views of the Minster.
This room also benefits from an en suite with a rainfall shower, basin and toilet. It has feature mirrored alcoves with downlights and motion sensor night lighting.
The third bedroom also has a door leading out onto the balcony. It has a king-size bed with a 2,000 pocket sprung zip and link mattress. This room can also be split into two single beds on request.
All bedrooms have hotel-quality linen, white cotton towels, Simba Hybrid duvets and Simba Hybrid pillows.
Along with the en suite, there is an additional family shower room with a large rainfall shower, basin and toilet.
A utility room houses a Siemens washer/dryer and additional sink.
The apartment benefits from BT full fibre Broadband and underfloor heating throughout.
A four person green tweed fitted picnic hamper with wine cooler and Thermos flask is available for guests to enjoy.
There is a free and secure allocated parking space, which is only a five minute walk away, included with the booking. There is also pay as you go car parking next to the apartment.
This is a first floor apartment with access by stairs and a lift. The apartment itself is based on two levels with stairs only.
You won’t be disappointed by the location of this apartment, located in the centre of York just off Bootham. One of the finest approaches to the city and just a 200 metre walk to Bootham Bar, Exhibition Square and just a short distance further into the city centre, shops and walks by the river.
