Description
Come and stay in our trendy studio apartment in a beautiful old mill, which used to be owned by Rowntree to mill their coco beans.
Situated within the city walls, this newly renovated apartment boasts original exposed brickwork around the beautiful floor to ceiling windows but has all the mod cons you would need for a luxurious stay.
There is a newly fitted shower room and kitchen (not that you will need to use it, being in the heart of York just a minutes walk from all the fabulous bars and cafes York has to offer)
Parking in York is like gold dust! Unfortunately we don’t have a guaranteed parking space available but there a pay and display car park on site. We are also lucky enough to be 150 meters walk away from The Shambles Q Park.
When you book with us we will give you full instructions. And once you arrive and park, you are so central to everything, there is no need to use your car again.

Fantastic location
Really fantastic location, so close to everything, historic buildings (including the one you will be staying in!), restaurants, pubs, shops, tourist attractions, pretty much anything you can think of. The property is spotless, and really modern – everything you need is there and any questions you might have are answered quickly by Daisy, a very caring and communicative host. I can’t recommend the property enough and would certainly jump at the chance to stay there again.
Everything walking distance
This place is brilliant ideal for the city centre but equally perfect if you don’t want the hustle and bustle of the city. Everything is walking distance… we didn’t realise how close the wall was.The room is perfect for what is needed and very cosy.
Beautiful, clean and stylish
Such a beautiful, clean, stylish place in a fantastic central location within York! This property was absolutely wonderful and catered to our high standards! The FREE visitor parking space was ideal and we were lucky to have no trouble in securing the space for the entire stay. The property was in a beautiful setting overlooking the water and the distance into the main high street was a matter of a short 7 minute walk! The bedding, towels and decor was all modern, clean! I would definitely love to return to Yorkie Suite when visiting York again!
Very well located
Had a fantastic 2 night stay in this brilliantly located apartment.
The host has everything to a ‘T’, from the door entry system, (don’t need to worry about loosing your keys), to the well detailed room directory of how all the high tech appliances work! But on the softer side the gorgeous smelling shower gel with a great bottle of bubbly we’re lovely touches too. Thank you.
Gorgeous Studio
This is a gorgeous studio close to the centre of York. The bed is very comfortable and there is everything you need for a weekend away.
Fab apartment and location
Have spent a fabulous weekend at the
beautiful, stylish and high spec Yorkie Suite. The apartment is light, airy and has everything you could possibly need to have a fab stay away from home. The informative, well thought out and easy to follow
apartment manual explains everything you need to know about the the apartment and local amenities. The icing on the cake is the visitor car parking although the Q car park is within easy walking distance of the apartment if a visitor space wasn’t available.
The apartment is in the perfect location for exploring all that York has to offer and everything is within easy walking distance.
Daisy from Violet Homes could not be more thoughtful or helpful and nothing was too much trouble she is a wonderful lady and I cannot thank her enough.
We had an amazing weekend and will

Great apartment in a great location
We spent a wonderful 2 nights in The Yorkie Suite, it is plenty big enough for a short break. Very clean, has all that you need. Also had a very useful folder full of apartment information, a how to manual. It is in a great location, a short stroll to the center of York. There is free parking on site, or long stay parking not far away. Highly recommend for a stay.

Great stay! Cleaninless, location and response at it’s best! Stayed for 2 nights exploring York. Would recommend to anyone who wants a central, cosy and with an exceptional host, place to stay!!

Apartment was excellent. Everything was A+. It was so clean, soon as you walk in you just get that feeling you have entered a clean environment. The access to local attractions was great as well. We didn’t need to get one bus or taxi as everything from food and drinks to site seeing was all in site. Highly recommended for anyone. The apartment itself is located on a waterfront so it’s a very lovely romantic setting. Everything gets a A+

Super host, great location, highly recommended.
Super host, great location, highly recommended. We’ve been to York a number of times and have now stayed in this building twice in two different apartments and it is a great location. The property is spotlessly clean and has everything you could possibly need. We will return as soon as our diary’s allow!!

Amazing service from the host! Location, location, location – couldn’t ask for a better spot! The apartment is clean & modern ,right on the river with fantastic amenities! Would recommend and we will be visiting again.

Daisy’s place was in the perfect location. Walking distance to all the busy top spots and the apartment was in a nice quiet area. The apartment was lovely and had everything we needed for our short stay. Perfect place and would definitely come again. Great communication and the whole process was so straightforward. Stylish, clean and cosy apartment.
Stylish, clean and cosy apartment. Spacious and well decorated. Everything was presented to a high standard and there were detailed instructions to help with every step of the trip. Even a complimentary bottle of cava left to enjoy on arrival. Will definitely visit again and whole heartedly recommend.
The cleanliness and value for money is astonishing.
I would definitely recommend staying at Daisy’s place, the cleanliness and value for money is astonishing. Everything is there ready for you, and the contactless check in/out service makes for a really quick and easy service.

This apartment is even better than it looks in the photos. It is lovely and beside a very picturesque urban waterway. Daisy has put many thoughtful touches into the apartment, and a comprehensive guide to facilities. It is within very easy reach of central York as well as a couple of supermarkets. In all, a great stay at a very nice apartment – backed up by very responsive comms with Daisy.

We had an amazing stay, the location is ideal with just a short 5 minute walk into the town centre. The apartment itself was so lovely! Spotless when we got there and also a bottle of fizz in the fridge which was such a lovely touch. Communication from Daisy was faultless and if we needed anything at all she was available. Would highly recommend staying here and I would definitely stay again if I’m every back in York x

Enjoyed 3 great days in York at the Yorkie Suite. Lovely accommodation spotless clean. Lovely view from the window. Everything we needed was provided. Short walk into town.
