Bettys
FOR AFTERNOON TEA
No visit to York is complete without a trip to our famous Café Tea Rooms
Buy a delicious cake from the famous Betty’s in St Helens Square, then take them to the Museum gardens (just walk down Lendal) and sit and enjoy the delights of the gardens and the friendly squirrels! The York Museum Gardens are botanic gardens in the centre of York, beside the River Ouse. They cover an area of 10 acres of the former grounds of St Mary’s Abbey, and were created in the 1830s by the Yorkshire Philosophical Society along with the Yorkshire Museum which they contain.
